Well Hi There

Hi Folks –

It’s been a while! Since we’ve last chatted Peter and I have driven a little over 2000 miles, been through 10 plus states, gotten to know Louisville KY a tiny bit, eaten in a bunch of damn good restaurants and done an informal survey of fast food (this secretly thrills Peter who believes he likes it better than he actually does, I believe he is now cured for a couple of years), and spent some time next to the ocean.

Thank all of you for giving our clueless heads, a heads up on the Charleston Hurricane, that would have been a bummer. I’m all for relief work but we were seriously needing some relief from work so we opted for Louisville. I have relatives in Lexington and god knows we never pop into KY so that would be fun, Chelsea had spent some time there and said she liked it so we headed out.

We had a blast, so nice to have a road trip together. Peter drove (the whole way!!) and I navigated; finding us places to stay and to eat and things to do. Honestly we also slept a lot which was awesome, we were tired. Undoubtedly you’ll hear a few stories from the road in future posts

We are happy to be home, see family, see our store and give thanks to our amazing staff that made it look effortless (you could see how this might work against their best interests ;-).
