Two lucky dogs go to the horse races

Hi Folks-

Well tomorrow Alec and I leave for a weekend at Saratoga race track. It’s something we try to do once a year and it’s becoming something of a tradition. Poor Sharon has to work for me on Saturday, and then on Sunday also, so I want to make it up to her somehow.

My daughter Katy just purchased a rescue dog today, and it’s a wonderful one year old mutt who is very affectionate and not at all hyper, for a one year old just moving to a new home with a new master. Her name is Lucy and her breeding is indeterminable. She looks like she has about five different breeding lines – she’s quite pretty, actually, and Katy loves her already.

Sharon and I tried a new restaurant this Monday, called Peasant. It’s Italian and it’s located on Bridge St. in Waitsfield. We recommend this place whole heartedly, and will be going back ourselves.

Fish arriving tomorrow:

  • Alaskan Cod, flash frozen at sea
  • east coast halibut
  • Sustainable Shetland Salmon
  • 2+ Yellowfin Tuna
  • PEI Mussels
  • Dayboat Haddock
  • Swordfish
  • Icelandic Arctic Char
  • 16/20 Wild Gulf Shrimp
  • 10/20 Dry Scallops
  • Beausoleil oysters, from PEI

See you at the Store!
