The art of doing nothing

Hi Folks-

Sharon and I took four days off, last Saturday through this Tuesday, and we didn’t do a thing. Usually, it seems to us, what most people mean when they say they did nothing is that they actually finished some long standing project at home, or they clean their house or go on a trip searching for antiques. Sharon and I, when we say we did nothing, we mean that we stayed at home and didn’t lift a finger cleaning the house or working on a project. No, we read books, cooked simple good food, drank some very nice wine, and we played solitaire. For four days. Scandalous.

Important news from the store. We’re taking orders for fresh, Vermont-raised Turkeys prior to Thanksgiving and there’s sort of a short window of opportunity to order your bird. These are Stonewood turkeys you can buy for $4.59/lb and the deadline for receiving your orders is November 10th. Call soon if we can help with your Thanksgiving feast.

I want to remind you too, that our Holiday Wine Tasting is coming up on Saturday, November 5th. You can order wine for the Holidays and have it delivered before Thanksgiving. There will be representatives of our three wholesalers pouring thirty different wines, including reds, whites, and sparklings. It’s a great opportunity to buy wines for yourselves, for entertaining, as well as for gifts. At a great price too, 12% discount for a case or more.
