sunny days finally

Hi Folks-

I just came in from sitting on my porch in this glorious weather, in a pair of shorts no less, and my lovely wife is still at the store hosting our little piece of Art Walk and doing a small wine tasting as well. After the store closes Sharon is working with someone who will install a system of cameras whose purpose is to curtail shop lifting at the store. We’ve resisted this move until now but have decided that we’d like to nab the occasional wise guy who slips a bottle or two of beer or soda in his or her coat pocket while smiling and probably thanking us for having such a great store. I hate that.

It was a first today, for this Spring, that not one of our customers expressed any dissatisfaction with the day’s weather. And it’s about time. It’s forecast for the next three days to be similarly wonderful and I’m counting on it. I’m going to grill fish tomorrow night and probably grill some New England-raised ribeye steaks either Saturday or Sunday. And maybe I’ll go antiquing with Sharon. Have a great weekend, all of you.

Fish arriving tomorrow:

  • Alaskan Cod, flash frozen at sea
  • east coast halibut
  • Sustainable Shetland Salmon
  • Dayboat Haddock
  • Lemon Sole
  • Swordfish
  • Icelandic Arctic Char
  • 16/20 Wild Gulf Shrimp, fresh
  • 10/20 Dry Scallops
  • Littleneck Clams

See you at the Store!
