PA Peaches and Harry’s Hardware

Hi Folks-

Peter and I had the best four days off ever! I want to do it again every week ;-)! I’d like to do it every week but I’ll be pretty pleased if we get it to do it a couple more times this summer!

We cooked, we relaxed, we watched the fireworks from our porch, we had an impromptu dance party on our porch and then took a little VT field trip on Sunday as a wind up.

If you have never been to Harry’s Hardware and The Den in Cabot you have a treat coming. It’s about a half hour from Montpelier and Sundays are awesome. It’s a fully functional hardware store (I bought some appliance light bulbs I needed), that also has a bar serving local craft beer and wine and a small local menu. On Sundays there is a pop up food truck/tent outside from 12 to 4, with a spot reserved indoors for pick up old time musicians to jam, the music was wonderful. The food was great and we also bought some local strawberries and greens. They have music on some weekend nights too so check out their calendar! I’m telling you though you can’t beat it for a beautiful Sunday drive destination, truly.
