Last chance at an immaculate wine tasting!

Hi Folks-

Tired girl here. Tired for all the right reasons though, the store has been beautifully busy in a way I had almost forgotten it could be after this past winter. Also getting ready for the wine tasting on Saturday. The food is going to be stunning (I know, cause I’m buying/making/plotting it 😉 We still have room left which is unusual but I think it has to do with the time of year and the fact that we have not done a summer tasting in a while.

I went yesterday to check out how we were going to set up outside and I have to tell you the place is stunning. Our hostess’s gardens are amazing, we are talking about a dedicated gardener in the same spot for twenty years. I am very excited about the location, the weather, the new food and most importantly the beautiful wines we have selected. If you don’t have plans for this Saturday from 3 to 7 I highly recommend getting yourself to the market and getting a couple of tickets for Saturday. I absolutely guarantee that you will be awed by what your $25.00 treats you to.

As we get into vacation time our specialty beer sales have also been over the top. We sell both Heady Topper (on Mondays) and Lawson’s Sip of Sunshine (on Thursdays). I love these beers, I love these breweries and I am very excited to be part of their success. That being said, it is a bit crazy making to have the phone constantly ringing with beer inquiries, people you have never seen before circling in the store, and people trying to make side deals to get more. Yes, beer mules do exist and that’s the pretty side. Hah.

Peter, as always, has ordered up a bunch of fabulous grilling fish and the case should look lovely tomorrow. Soft shells are over but they were great while they lasted.

Fish arriving tomorrow:

  • Alaskan Cod, flash frozen at sea
  • Alaskan King Salmon
  • Red Snapper
  • Dayboat yellow tail sole
  • Sustainable Shetland Salmon
  • Dayboat Haddock
  • 2+ Yellowfin Tuna
  • Swordfish
  • Icelandic Arctic Char
  • 16/20 Domestic Shrimp
  • 10/20 Dry Scallops
  • Wellfleet Oysters, MA

See you at the Store!
