I thought it was easy

Hi Folks-

It seemed like such a good idea. I was shopping at Shaws, I do that sometimes, and I came across egg roll wrappers. I thought egg rolls wouldn’t be difficult, and I love egg rolls. Easy dinner, I could do it and surprise Sharon. I bought the wrappers, garlic, an onion, a head of green cabbage, some bean sprouts, ginger, and we had shrimp at home already.

It turned out a little more extensive a job than I had anticipated. Sharon wanted to eat at a reasonable hour so she ended up helping me more than I intended. I chopped the onion, garlic and ginger. Hand cut the cabbage into very thin strands. Sharon did the onions and celery in the food processor. We sauteed the cut up shrimp first and then sauteed the vegetables with a little hot sesame oil, some roasted sesame oil, and some soy sauce. Mixed it all together and now I’m writing this post and Sharon is rolling up the egg rolls because she is so much better at that kind of thing than I am. It all called for a little more involvement by Sharon than I anticipated, and I’m a little sorry for that. But our dinner is better for her help. Now all we have to do is fry the rolls in oil and we’re golden.
