Grilling Fish

Hi Folks-

So Peter garnered quite a few interesting responses to the antiques shopping idea. Enough so that I am going to put together a list so when you all have a yen to do a little antiquing you’ll know just where to go and hopefully hear of a few new places!

Please note that even the weather feels like Spring at this point and that there is a new selection of Rosé wines collected for you in the center of the store. A nice variety at a nice variety of prices, also a couple of each tucked in the cooler, if this is a shorter term plan!

So if my grill were out I would be grilling, as it is I can’t remember whether we need a new one or not this year… Was it last year it was shooting flames out the back or was that the year before…

Great fish for grill tomorrow:

  • Remember, fresh oysters are fabulous on the grill, reasonably hot grill covered for a few minutes until they open, hit them with the hot sauce and slurp em down.

  • Grilled Swordfish is immeasurably improved by a light layer of garlic mayo on each side before grilling, leaves a flavorful little brown crunch on the outside.

  • When grilling salmon, first lay it skin side down on a piece of brown paper bag, cut out the exact out of the fish. Grill paper bag side down until done, 4 to 8 minutes depending on thickness of the fillet. The whole thing comes up when down, no fish sticking to the grill and the skin sticking to the bag, win all the way around!
