Getting out the grill

Hi Folks-

I know, it snowed this morning, what’s a body to do with that bit of news? My answer, time to get out the grill. We don’t keep our grill out all winter and I think that Mother Nature needs to know I’m serious. So today we get out the grill and tomorrow when it’s 68 we can all grill fresh fish from the market. What a plan!

We have a gas grill and there are many things I love about it. Peter and I have decided that since we are, after all, of the cooking persuasion, we really need a charcoal grill as well. I miss our old weber. Maybe that will be the compromise this year, hang with old gas grill one more year and get a nice big weber charcoal grill. Replace the gas one next year…

The lemon buerre blanc with squid ink pasta worked out well, but we didn’t have scallops or salmon left (getting a bit more in this week). But hey we rolled with swordfish and that was pretty tasty!

If you haven’t checked out craft beer selection lately you should! Of course we’ve got heady, focal banger and sip of sunshine, but also fun new stuff from Frost, The Burlington Beer Company, Thrush brewery and a bunch of others. One customer commented “This is how you do craft beer, I wish I could send other retailers in to look at your choices.” By all means do or, you know, just keep shopping here:-)
