Fish Stew

Hi Folks-

I wish I could at least say that I’m too tired to write the post because I’ve been carousing until the late hours, but in actuality I’m just plain tired with no story as to how I got here.

For fish, I was thinking this would be a great weekend to make some kind of fish stew. It’s going to be cold and wet and what better than a hearty fish stew of some kind. To further that plan we have plenty of clams and mussels and wild cod and shrimp and even monkfish, a favorite for stews because of its firm texture and its sweet, almost shellfish-like flavor.

Fish arriving tomorrow:

  • Alaskan Cod, flash frozen at sea
  • Wild Sardines
  • Monkfish
  • Dayboat yellow tail sole
  • Sustainable Shetland Salmon
  • Dayboat Haddock
  • Grade 2+Yellowfin Tuna
  • Swordfish
  • Icelandic Arctic Char
  • 16/20 Wild Gulf Shrimp
  • 10/20 Dry Scallops
  • PEI mussels
  • Littleneck clams
  • Pemaquid Oysters, ME
