better than watching tom brady

Hi Folks-

Wednesday I watched my grand daughter, Sophia, and her junior high soccer team play against the U-32 team and I had more fun than if I were watching Tom Brady and the Patriots. Of course, Sophia is my pride and joy and I can happily watch her do anything at all, but watching she and her friends compete at this level is a joy. The girls are serious in how they play and really try to do the best they can against their opponents. Sophia is the goalie and she takes no small measure of responsibility for her team’s success or failure. She let in several goals by U32 and was downcast after the game, as teammates and parents alike gave her support and comfort. It takes courage to be the goalie for a junior high team.

Sharon is busy planning the Holiday Wine Tasting scheduled for November 11th, and we hope you all feel welcome to attend. It’s a great way to buy wines for holiday events and as gifts for your friends. It adds a little fun to your party when you bring out a wine that you’ve discovered on your own and think highly of. Tickets are on sale at the store: they are $25 and include tastings of over thirty wines and a large variety of Sharon’s great food.

Tomorrow for fish we have wild striped bass available, something that’s been out of our price range thus far this year. We’re taking $5 off what the price would normally be and selling it for $19.99/lb.

Fish arriving tomorrow:

  • Alaskan Cod, flash frozen at sea
  • Wild Striped Bass
  • Lemon sole
  • Sustainable Shetland Salmon
  • Dayboat Haddock
  • Swordfish
  • Icelandic Arctic Char
  • 16/20 Wild Gulf Shrimp
  • 10/20 Dry Scallops

See you at the Store!
