Hi Folks-

Over the past few years we’ve been selling produce grown by 1000 Stone Farm, in Brookfield, owned and operated by Kyle Doda. Over the summer we’ve sold, and you’ve enjoyed, his lettuce and mixed greens, his incredible heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes and beets. Right now, we have his carrots, his greens, potatoes, squash, cabbage and red onions, and in a few weeks we’ll be getting his brussel sprouts.

While we deal with other local farmers we particularly value our relationship with 1000 Stone Farm, who supplies us with most of the locally grown produce we sell throughout the year.

And while Kyle’s produce is spectacular, perhaps the most notable food arriving tomorrow is Wild Barracuda, caught off the Gulf Coast. Barracuda is apparently growing in popularity so I thought we should try it. Sorry I don’t have a recipe to share but believe Sharon and I will be trying some tomorrow and I’ll let you know.

The fish tomorrow:

  • Dayboat Haddock

  • Icelandic Arctic Char

  • Swordfish

  • Barracuda

  • Alaskan Cod. Frozen at sea

  • Shetland Salmon

  • Yellow tail sole, dayboat

  • 10/20 Dry Scallops

  • 16/20 Wild Gulf Shrimp

  • PEI Mussels
