The color of shrimp

Hi Folks-

So with Peter and Sharon enjoying a vacation, George is here sending you the post today. Having been away on vacation myself last month, I’ve been wondering something. I had a chance to see some fantastic birds called Spoonbills; they’re 3 feet tall, wade around in shallow water, and are Bright Pink. I wonder why they haven’t all been eaten?

Our resident bird expert says they’re just pink because they eat shrimp, but then why aren’t there pink whales? Then Steph mentioned that brightly colored frogs don’t taste very good. I then decided I didn’t want to think too much about eating rare birds from a wildlife refuge, so it was time to get back to work.
