Such good cooking!

Hi Folks-

Well I had a great weekend and I hope you did too. It was my birthday and Peter knocked it out of the park. It started with my saying to him on Thursday night “You know I’ve been cooking a lot lately, how about you make dinner Friday?” “Sure” he said and proceeded to order two 2# lobsters for Friday. Winning solution as far as I’m concerned, although we maybe can’t afford for him to cook very often :-).

At any rate, he did that and I brought home some baby back ribs. So for Friday he nailed it with a perfect cheese board of Middlebury blue, cloth bound cheddar and brie, a piece of sopresseta, fig jam for the cheese and some nice crackers. Followed by baby back ribs in the oven… so, yes you can and yes you should and here’s the recipe Baby back ribs in the oven! So good, especially paired with lobster.

We have two new lines in the market…Shout out to all the lactose intolerant, absolutely delicious dairy free cream cheese, sour cream and butter and not too expensive, check it out. Also a line of quick soups, you supply the stock and the chicken or protein if you are so inclined, they have everything else and it’s 20 to 40 minutes from arriving home to a good homemade soup; Potato Leek, Chicken Noodle, Enchilada…the directions are simple and the taste is awesome.

So the best part of my weekend was seeing everybody for visits, having lobster Benedict (yes, Peter makes Hollandaise from scratch) and a beautifully baked triple layer spice cake by my incredible husband…happily a year older
